Bridging Learning Opportunities Abroad, UNIPMA Introduces International Credit Transfer
UNIPMA — Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), through the Student Affairs and Relations Bureau (BKH), is providing students with the opportunity to gain international learning experiences through the 2026 International Credit Transfer (ICT) program. One of the activities under the program is the International Classroom Exchange with State University of Northern Negros (SUNN), Philippines.
The program was introduced through an online orientation session held on Thursday (3/9). The activity served as a preparatory stage before lectures begin. Students were introduced to SUNN and received explanations regarding the curriculum, courses, schedules, lecturers, and the technical aspects of the learning process.
According to a report by Sri Wahyuningsih, M.Si., 28 students successfully passed the interview selection for the International Credit Transfer (ICT) program for the 2026–2027 even semester. Of this number, 18 students are participating in the International Classroom Exchange scheme with State University of Northern Negros (SUNN), Philippines, as the destination institution.
Four students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) were selected for the program: Evanelsia Da Costa Sousa from the Accounting Study Program; Alia Putri Indrayani and Amelia Salicha from the D-III Tax Management program; and Nadine Ayudya Puja Natasya from the Management Study Program.
Meanwhile, the students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) who were selected include Anfannia Ridha Ardhana from Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI); Arinda Ummi Mahmudah, Nurul Aisyah Hidayati, Dwi Melda Septiarna, Alfrida Kalina Gandhi, Tasya Septiyan Nur Laila, and Devina Widya Swari from English Education; Candra Surya Febrianti and Iyyakameiza Putri Wihasta from Economic Education; Anggara Bayu R from Guidance and Counseling; Ayu Kelvin Riana Putri from Civic Education (PPKN); as well as Jihan Nur Fauziah, Retno Widi Lestari, and Rinda Tri Kusuma from Mathematics Education.
The person in charge of the BKH International Division at UNIPMA, Dr. Brigitta Septarini R., S.S., M.Pd., explained that the program provides students with opportunities to gain international academic experience through virtual learning.
“Students need to understand the courses, schedules, learning mechanisms, and forms of assessment before attending the classes,” she said.
Through the International Classroom Exchange, students will be able to participate in online classes with lecturers and students from SUNN without having to travel physically to the Philippines. Several courses prepared by SUNN cover areas such as business, accounting, management, education, science, and general subjects.
The curriculum and lecture procedures were important aspects introduced during the orientation session. Students received an overview of the courses they would take, class schedules, lecturers, learning mechanisms, as well as attendance and assessment requirements. This serves as preparation before students begin their lectures with SUNN.
Participation in the program does not automatically result in academic grades or credits from SUNN. Credit recognition remains subject to the policies of the students’ home university, while SUNN may issue an International Classroom Exchange Assessment Report containing learning outcomes, assessment results, attendance records, and lecturer evaluations.
The program is part of the Internationalization-at-Home approach, which brings international experiences to students through technology. Through ICT, UNIPMA bridges opportunities for students to gain global learning experiences while expanding academic interaction with partner universities abroad.
