UNIPMA - The Faculty of Health Sciences and Sciences (FIKS) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) officially declared students from the Pharmacy and Sports Science Study Programs graduates through the 2025/2026 Academic Year Yudisium. The event was held at the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory on Thursday (27/8), yesterday.

The yudisium is one of the academic stages that students must complete before participating in the graduation ceremony. During the event, the faculty also presented Certificates of Graduation (SKL) as official documents confirming the students’ graduation.

Dean of FIKS UNIPMA, Apt. Weka Sidha Bhagawan, M.Farm., encouraged the graduates not to stop developing their abilities after earning their academic degrees. According to him, technological changes and evolving societal needs require graduates to continue learning so they can keep pace with developments in the workplace.

“A degree is not the end of learning. Knowledge develops, technology changes, and society’s needs also change,” Weka said in his speech.

He emphasized that academic competence alone is not enough to face the professional world, particularly because graduates will interact with people with diverse needs and characteristics. Integrity, empathy, communication skills, and a willingness to continue learning are considered essential aspects of professional practice.

The message is also relevant to technological developments such as artificial intelligence (AI), the digitalization of healthcare services, and the use of data, which are increasingly influencing various fields of work.

Apt. Weka Sidha Bhagawan, M.Farm., reminded graduates to view the knowledge they gained during their studies as a responsibility to provide benefits, rather than merely as a means of securing employment.

“Use knowledge to help, not to harm. Use competence to solve problems, not to seek personal gain at the expense of human interests,” he added.

In addition to professional skills, Apt. Weka Sidha Bhagawan, M.Farm., asked the graduates to uphold the reputation of their families and alma mater. He hoped FIKS graduates would demonstrate their quality through competence, achievements, integrity, and conduct as they enter the professional environment.

“Do not only aspire to become successful people. Aspire to become people who are beneficial to others,” he said.

During the yudisium, FIKS also named the graduates who received cum laude honors, namely Hutomo Mandala Putra from the Pharmacy Study Program and Yourisea Headlin Pertiwi from the Sports Science (IKOR) Study Program.

After being declared graduates, students may proceed to the graduation stage, enter the workforce, or continue their education to a higher level. Further education opportunities have also been facilitated by FIKS, particularly through the establishment of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPPA) at UNIPMA. FIKS also maintains connections with its graduates through the Alumni Family Association (IKA).

Apt. Weka Sidha Bhagawan, M.Farm., hopes the graduates will continue to maintain their relationship with their alma mater after completing their studies. He encouraged alumni to return with their experiences, knowledge, and new ideas that can benefit the university and society.
