MADIUN — Four lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) taught in an International Virtual Lecture with Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines, on Thursday (27/8), yesterday. The international lecture was conducted online through the Zoom Meeting platform.

The four lecturers involved were Hendra Setiawan, S.E., M.M., Nik Amah, S.E., M.Si., Dr. Anggita Langgeng W., S.E., M.Si.Ak., and Sendy Dwi Hariyanto, S.Pd., M.A. They delivered materials according to their respective fields of expertise to MMSU students and lecturers from several study programs.

Hendra Setiawan, S.E., M.M., opened the session with the topic “Designing the Marketing Mix Strategically.” He invited participants from the BSBA Marketing Management program to explore how the marketing mix can be strategically formulated and adapted to the dynamics of global market competition.

After that, Nik Amah, S.E., M.Si., discussed “Nominal and Real Income” with participants from the BS Economics program. The discussion focused on the differences between nominal and real income and how inflation can affect people's purchasing power.

The topic then shifted to accounting when Dr. Anggita Langgeng W., S.E., M.Si.Ak., delivered “Internal Control and Risk Management.” Students and lecturers from BS Accountancy were invited to understand the role of internal control and risk management in maintaining organizational governance and accountability.

The final session was delivered by Sendy Dwi Hariyanto, S.Pd., M.A., through the topic “Stock Valuation.” He discussed how to assess stock prices as one of the foundations of analysis before making investment decisions.

The series of lectures was part of the academic collaboration between FEB UNIPMA and MMSU Philippines. The two higher education institutions brought lecturers and students together in a learning environment that crossed national borders without requiring them to leave their respective spaces.

For UNIPMA, this activity went beyond the exchange of lecture materials. The program also provided an opportunity for lecturers to share knowledge with international students while expanding learning experiences for participants at both institutions.

The four sessions held in one day covered four interconnected fields within the scope of economics and business, namely marketing, economics, accounting, and finance. The materials were delivered directly to MMSU participants according to their respective study programs.

This activity also served as part of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) through cross-border teaching. The collaboration is aimed at strengthening the academic relationship between UNIPMA and MMSU and encouraging learning with a broader perspective at the international level.
