UNIPMA — Ten lecturers from Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) participated in the International Lecturer Development Program (ILDP) Batch XVIII, initiated by the UNIPMA Language Development Center (P2B).

Held from August 5–11, 2026, at the UNIPMA Microteaching Laboratory 1, the program equipped lecturers with the skills to teach in English according to their respective fields of expertise.

The training covered the use of English in the classroom, instructional design, the use of artificial intelligence (AI), critical thinking development, and microteaching practice.

Head of P2B UNIPMA, Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, M.Pd., said ILDP was designed to prepare lecturers to teach courses in their respective fields using English. “The program will also enrich lecturers’ experience,” he said on Saturday (22/8).

The program began on Wednesday (5/8) with sessions on Classroom English Phrases, Sharing Session, and Generative AI for Teaching and Learning, led by Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, M.Pd.

The sessions explored the use of English expressions in classroom instruction as well as the application of AI to support teaching and learning processes.

On the second day, Thursday (6/8), participants received training on Introduction to Course Design and Course Design: Concept to Completion, delivered by Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd. Meanwhile, Dr. Rosita Ambarwati, M.Pd., delivered sessions on Developing Critical Thinking Skills for Classroom Discussions and Simulation Session.

After completing the theoretical sessions, participants from various study programs took part in microteaching practice. During the session, they conducted lessons in English based on their respective courses and fields of expertise.

Through the series of activities, ILDP Batch XVIII is expected to provide lecturers with opportunities to strengthen their teaching competencies while sharing experiences in English-medium instruction.

“We hope this program can continue to serve as a space for lecturers to develop their competencies and share experiences,” she concluded.
