UNIPMA Language Development Center Holds EAPT 2026, Joined by 1,644 Students to Foster Globally Competitive Graduates
UNIPMA – The Language Development Center (P2B) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again organized the English Academic Proficiency Test (EAPT) 2026 as part of its commitment to enhancing students' English language proficiency while supporting the development of graduates who are ready to compete at both the national and international levels.
The EAPT was conducted over a 10-day period, from July 22 to August 8, 2026, and was attended by 1,644 students from various undergraduate and postgraduate study programs across UNIPMA. To ensure the smooth implementation of the examination, the committee scheduled the test in two sessions each day.
The examination was administered using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) system to ensure a more effective, objective, and accountable assessment process. All participants completed the test according to the predetermined schedule under the supervision of invigilators and technical staff to ensure that the examination was conducted in an orderly manner and in accordance with established procedures.
The EAPT assesses students' academic English proficiency through three main components: Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension. The test results serve as an indicator of students' English proficiency while also providing valuable data for evaluating and improving their academic and professional competencies.
Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, M.Pd., Head of the UNIPMA Language Development Center (P2B), stated that the implementation of the EAPT reflects the university's commitment to improving the quality of its graduates.
"Through the EAPT, we hope that students will not only fulfill academic requirements but also develop stronger English language skills as essential preparation for the evolving demands of higher education, the workplace, and competition at both the national and international levels," he said on Wednesday (July 22).
To support the smooth execution of the examination, the committee prepared nine computer laboratories as testing venues. These included the Accounting Education Laboratory on the second floor of Campus I, CBT Laboratory 1 and CBT Laboratory 2 on the third floor of Campus I, the Mathematics Laboratory on the third floor of Campus I, the Information Systems Laboratory on the sixth floor of the Integrated Building, and the Informatics Engineering Laboratory and Industrial Engineering Laboratory on the second floor of the Faculty of Engineering.
The successful implementation of the EAPT was made possible through the strong collaboration among the organizing committee, examination supervisors, laboratory technical staff, and participants, who followed all examination procedures with discipline. This synergy played a vital role in maintaining both the quality and the smooth administration of the test.
Through the Language Development Center, UNIPMA continues to expand its competency development services by offering various training programs and language proficiency tests. These initiatives are expected to support the development of graduates who are professional, adaptable, and globally competitive.
The implementation of the EAPT also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing access to language skills development, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping students with competencies that are relevant to the demands of the workforce.
In addition to the EAPT, the UNIPMA Language Development Center (P2B) offers a wide range of language development services, including TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, English, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin language training, English for Professional Purposes, Public Speaking training, and translation services.
