UNIPMA Prepares Students for the Industrial World, 2026 Internship Orientation Emphasizes Competence and Integrity
UNIPMA – Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) provided orientation for students from non-teaching study programs through the 2026 Batch I Industrial Internship Orientation and General Briefing, held at Graha Cendekia on Tuesday (July 14). The event was organized by the Internship and Field Practice Bureau (BMPL) in collaboration with the Field Experience Practice and Internship Unit (UPPLM) and attended by students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Health Sciences and Science (FIKS), and Faculty of Law (FH).
The event was attended by UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., BMPL Head Dr. Dahlia Novarianing Asri, M.Si., and Organizing Committee Chair Hani Atun Mumtahana, S.Kom., M.Kom. It aimed to provide students with an understanding of internship procedures, administrative requirements, and professional ethics before they are assigned to partner institutions and companies.
In his remarks, UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that internships provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence while maintaining the university's reputation in the eyes of industry.
"Students must be able to demonstrate their competence while maintaining ethics and discipline. These are the qualities that employers will use to evaluate UNIPMA graduates," he said.
He added that the orientation focuses not only on technical aspects but also on character development to prepare students to adapt to a professional work environment.
This character-building initiative is reflected in the university's 4A values: Anti-Corruption, Anti-Bullying, Anti-Intolerance, and Anti-Sexual Violence. These principles are part of UNIPMA's commitment to producing graduates with integrity while supporting the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Impactful Campus Program initiated by Indonesia's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek).
The orientation was conducted in two sessions. The first session covered internship standard operating procedures, administration, guidelines, regulations, and the use of the Internship Management Information System (SIM Magang). The materials were delivered by Andria, M.Kom., MTA, MCE, MOS, MTCRE, CITPM, MCF, OCP., Halwa Annisa Khoiri, S.Si., M.Si., and Moch Yusuf Asyhari, S.Tr.Kom., M.Kom., followed by a discussion with participants.
The second session featured Bambang Eko Nugroho, S.H., M.H., CLA., CMC., who presented the implementation of the 4A values in the workplace, while Dr. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd., explained the cooperation mechanism through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
According to the UPPLM schedule, the 2026 Industrial Internship Program begins with participant registration and validation from April 13–15, 2026, followed by the processing of internship recommendation letters through the SIM Magang system until May 2, 2026. Students are then required to attend the orientation before being assigned to partner institutions, complete a two-month internship, participate in monitoring and evaluation, prepare an internship report, and conclude the program with an internship seminar or examination in early October 2026.
Through this program, UNIPMA expects students to gain relevant workplace experience while enhancing their competence, adaptability, and professional character as preparation for entering the workforce.
