The 9th FKIP Dean’s Cup Officially Opens, Students Showcase Sportsmanship and Skills at GOR Cendekia

UNIPMA – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held the 9th FKIP Dean’s Cup on July 10–11, 2026, at GOR Cendekia. Organized by the FKIP Student Association (HMFKIP), the competition featured two sporting events: women’s futsal and mixed doubles badminton.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FKIP UNIPMA, Dr. Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd., under the theme "Combine Strategy, Build Solidarity, Achieve Excellence." Students from various study programs within FKIP participated in the tournament.

Revina Eka Amelia Pratiwi, Chair of the Organizing Committee, explained in an interview that the badminton competition adopted a single-elimination format, where losing pairs were immediately eliminated while winners advanced to the next round until the final. The women’s futsal competition also used a knockout system.

According to Revina, the Dean’s Cup is an annual HMFKIP program designed not only to determine champions but also to strengthen solidarity, promote sportsmanship, and provide students with opportunities to develop their interests and talents in sports.

"Through this event, we hope students can compete in a healthy manner while strengthening relationships among students within FKIP," she said.

The organizing committee prepared several awards for the winners, including trophies, certificates of achievement, and cash prizes. In addition to the awards, participants gained valuable competitive experience, expanded their networks, and earned achievements that could enhance their portfolios and curricula vitae (CVs).

Through the 9th FKIP Dean’s Cup, HMFKIP hopes the event will continue to serve as a platform for students to develop their interests and talents in sports.

The competition is also expected to foster sportsmanship, strengthen relationships among study programs, encourage healthy competition, and inspire achievements that bring pride to FKIP and Universitas PGRI Madiun.
