UNIPMA – Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to strengthen its internationalization efforts through active collaborations with 20 overseas institutions throughout the 2025–2026 period. These collaborations include international guest lectures, student exchanges, collaborative research, community service programs, faculty mobility, and international continuing study programs.

These achievements are part of the university’s strategy to improve educational quality and prepare graduates who are globally competitive.

Based on data from the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH) of UNIPMA, international partnerships do not stop at the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), but are implemented through various programs aligned with the tridharma of higher education.

UNIPMA’s international partnerships are predominantly with higher education institutions in the Philippines, including Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), Cavite State University, and Central Mindanao University. In addition, collaborations have also been established with universities in Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, and India.

One of the most actively implemented initiatives is the guest lecture program across various study programs. Collaboration with ISAT-U Philippines involves several departments such as Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Management, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering Education, Sports Science, and Accounting. One notable activity was an international lecture titled Evolution of Philippine Dance with Filipino academic Dr. Ramon. The collaboration between the two institutions has also been strengthened through joint research in the English Education Study Program.

Comprehensive collaboration has also been carried out with NEUST Philippines through international lectures, SEA-Teacher student exchanges, collaborative research, and community service programs. These initiatives involve various study programs such as Biology Education, Pharmacy, Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Physics Education, and the Faculty of Engineering.

Meanwhile, cooperation with Bulacan Agricultural State College has been realized through student exchanges in the English Education Study Program, international lectures in Information Systems, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, and Management, as well as research strengthening by the Electrical Engineering Education team.

UNIPMA has also expanded its collaboration with Cavite State University Philippines through international guest lectures for the English Education, Accounting Education, Early Childhood Education, Guidance and Counseling, and Economic Education study programs as part of strengthening the SEA-Teacher program.

In Taiwan, collaboration with National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) has been implemented through international lectures and empowerment-based community service programs. In addition, partnerships with INTACT BASE Taiwan and Chaoyang University have opened opportunities for students to pursue further international studies through post-bachelor programs. A total of five UNIPMA students have received opportunities to continue their studies in Taiwan through these programs.

International cooperation has also developed in Thailand. Together with Walailak University, UNIPMA has conducted international lectures for the English Education and PGSD study programs, while also preparing collaborative research and community service programs for 2026. Collaboration with Hatyai University focuses on the SEA-Teacher student exchange program and strengthening artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning.

Furthermore, academic cooperation has also been carried out with Benguet State University in the field of Informatics Engineering, Krirk University in strengthening regional economics, and Tarlac State University through enhancing business communication competencies for Management students.

UNIPMA’s international network has also reached India through a student exchange program with Vellore Institute of Technology. This program provides students with multicultural experiences alongside participants from various countries.

In addition to expanding international academic networks, the implementation of these collaborations has also produced various tangible outcomes, ranging from international scientific publications, cross-country community service programs, student exchanges, to the publication of ISBN-registered reference books.

The recap of international cooperation implementation throughout 2025–2026 demonstrates UNIPMA’s commitment to building a globally oriented educational ecosystem. Through measurable and sustainable programs, the university strives to create graduates who are capable of competing and contributing at the international level.
