UNIPMA Color Run 2026 Enlivens the 51st Anniversary Celebration, International Participants Join the Event

UNIPMA – Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held the UNIPMA Color Run 2026 as part of its 51st Anniversary celebration on Saturday (20/6). The event, which combined a fun run concept with entertainment, was attended by residents of Madiun City, participants from outside the region, and even foreign nationals who joined in enlivening the occasion.

Carrying the anniversary theme “UNIPMA Excels in Innovation, Making an Impact for the Nation,” the event began with an opening ceremony and remarks from UNIPMA Vice Rector 3, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si. Through this activity, UNIPMA aimed to provide a space for the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle while also strengthening the relationship between the university and society.

The UNIPMA Color Run started in the morning, with the Integrated Laboratory of UNIPMA serving as both the starting and finishing point. Participants completed a 5-kilometer route passing through several streets in Madiun City, including Jalan Auri, Jalan Slamet Riyadi, the SPBU Joyo area, Jalan Diponegoro, Jalan Rimba Dharma, Jalan Rimba Mulya, the Wilis Stadium area, Jalan Bolodewo, Jalan Parikesit, Jalan Mastrip, and Jalan Setia Budi before returning to the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory.

The chairman of the 51st Anniversary Student Committee, Fauzan, explained that the Color Run was developed from the fun run concept by combining sports and entertainment so participants could enjoy a different experience compared to regular running events.

“This Color Run is basically a fun run activity combined with entertainment. We want to invite the community to exercise while also having fun in one exciting event,” he said.

After all participants completed the running route, the event continued with a DJ performance and a powder party. The committee distributed holi powder to participants, who then threw it into the air together, creating a lively atmosphere. The event also featured door prize distributions and various other entertainment activities.

As a form of appreciation for the participants, the committee also presented awards to the male and female potential champions in categories 1, 2, and 3, as well as a best costume award. The series of activities received positive responses from participants, who showed enthusiasm from the beginning until the end of the event.

According to Fauzan, one of the most interesting aspects of this year’s event was the participation of people from various regions, including foreign nationals who took part in the UNIPMA Color Run 2026.

“The participants’ enthusiasm was excellent. Not only residents of Madiun City, but also participants from outside the region and even foreign nationals joined and enlivened this event,” he said.

Fauzan hopes that the UNIPMA Color Run will continue to become an annual agenda within the UNIPMA Anniversary celebration series and provide benefits for everyone involved, including participants, organizers, the university, and the community.

“We hope this event can continue in future anniversary celebrations and bring positive impacts to all parties involved,” he concluded.
