LPPM UNIPMA Holds RIIM BRIN 2026 Clinic Workshop to Improve the Quality of Lecturers’ Proposals
UNIPMA – The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas PGRI Madiun organized the workshop “Clinic for the Preparation and Submission Assistance of RIIM BRIN Grant Proposals Batch 2 of 2026” to improve the quality and quantity of lecturers’ research proposals in the external grant scheme of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
The activity was conducted in three stages, using both offline sessions at the UNIPMA campus and online meetings. The mentoring focused on proposal substance preparation, Budget Plan (RAB), and the submission process through the RIIM BRIN platform.
This workshop was intended to strengthen lecturers’ capacity in preparing competitive research proposals at the national level. LPPM UNIPMA targeted improving lecturers’ readiness based on 102 research roadmaps that had been prepared and the participation of 81 lecturers in the clinic program.
The event was also used as a self-development program for lecturers, especially in the field of research. Through this activity, participants were expected not only to be able to prepare competitive proposals, but also to develop academic competence, research methodology, and scientific publication strategies aligned with national grant standards.
Dr. Pujiati, S.Si., M.Si., Head of LPPM UNIPMA, stated in an interview that the program was designed as continuous mentoring.
“We designed this mentoring program starting from roadmap preparation, proposal clinics, up to the submission process. The goal is to ensure that lecturers are truly prepared both substantively and technically,” she said on Wednesday (June 3).
She added that the mentoring scheme was expected to improve the quality of proposals submitted by UNIPMA lecturers so that they would be more competitive at the national level.
The clinic program included several main stages, namely:
- Preparation of research roadmaps
- RIIM BRIN proposal preparation clinics divided into three terms over one full month (June 3–July 3, 2026), including:
- Proposal substance mentoring
- Preparation of RAB according to BRIN standards
- Technical consultation up to the proposal submission process
- Proposal submission
In addition, participants also received training regarding the RIIM BRIN scheme, strategies for preparing competitive proposals, aligning roadmaps with research themes, and formulating research outputs and targets.
The June 3, 2026 activity was conducted offline in the Seminar Room of the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory, with agendas including proposal substance preparation, speaker consultations, and RIIM BRIN account creation.
The second stage on June 16, 2026 was conducted online, focusing on RAB mentoring and proposal preparation strategies. The final stage on July 3, 2026 was also held online and focused on proposal finalization and submission.
The speakers for this activity were Dr. drh. C. Novi Primiani, M.Pd., and Dr. Wasilatul Murtafiah, M.Pd. Both played roles in providing technical and substantive mentoring according to the requirements of the BRIN grant scheme.
LPPM UNIPMA targets that 75 percent of participants will have active RIIM BRIN accounts and around 50 percent will submit proposals in 2026. Each participant is required to attend the entire series of activities until the final stage.
Participants are lecturers with a minimum doctoral qualification (S3) and will receive an e-certificate equivalent to 165 hours covering workshops, mentoring, and independent assignments.
In the long term, this activity is expected to improve the quality of lecturers’ research while strengthening the position of Universitas PGRI Madiun in national research competitions. Further information can be obtained through LPPM UNIPMA, including participation confirmation through the RIIM BRIN registration form.
“We also provide mentoring opportunities so that lecturers can prepare proposals in a more focused manner and in accordance with national grant competition standards,” added Dr. Pujiati, S.Si., M.Si.
