Joint Synergy! Electrical Engineering Education and Electrical Engineering Host Philippine Expert and Sign IA

The synergy between the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), and the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT), Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held a Guest Lecture along with the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) with Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC), Philippines, on Thursday (16/4).

The event, held at the Integrated Laboratory on the 4th Floor, featured an expert from BASC, Herbert M. De Jesus, who delivered a presentation titled “Renewable Energy Systems to Support Energy Independence in Agricultural Areas.” This guest lecture was part of an effort to bring global perspectives directly to students.

Participants showed great enthusiasm, with hundreds of students filling the room and actively engaging in discussions. They explored further the application of electrical technology in supporting energy transformation.

On the same occasion, both institutions signed the Implementation Agreement (IA) as a commitment to collaboration. The agreement covers cooperation in academic development, research, and strengthening graduate competencies in line with international standards.

The signing was carried out by the heads of the Electrical Engineering Education and Electrical Engineering Study Programs at UNIPMA, and was witnessed by representatives of student organizations, namely the Electrical Engineering Education Student Association (Komet) and the Electrical Engineering Student Association (Electra).

This cross-country collaboration is expected to become a strategic step in creating an academic ecosystem that is adaptive to the development of the global engineering industry. In addition, this collaboration opens opportunities for students to understand international industry demands from an early stage.

Through this initiative, UNIPMA reaffirms its commitment to promoting the internationalization of education. The synergy with BASC is expected to produce competitive graduates who are ready to face increasingly complex future challenges.
