Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has officially established an international strategic partnership with Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU), Philippines, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) conducted virtually via Zoom on Monday (13/4).

The collaboration covers education, research, and community service, with a focus on strengthening cross-border academic cooperation. Several planned programs include student exchanges, joint research, and the development of innovative education programs with global competitiveness.

The MoU was signed by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., accompanied by the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH) of UNIPMA, Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd. Meanwhile, SNSU was represented by its President, Dr. Rowena A. Plando.

The event ran smoothly and was moderated by Eloisa T. Salisi. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Elvis P. Patulin, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration in improving the quality of higher education.

The presentation session featured Gabriel P. Llasos and Dr. Louella S. Degamon, who explained the background, objectives, and scope of the cooperation in detail.

Through this partnership, both institutions are committed to implementing various concrete programs aimed at strengthening academic capacity, broadening students’ global perspectives, and improving the overall quality of education in a sustainable manner.

This initiative reflects UNIPMA’s strong commitment to expanding its international network and providing education that is adaptive to global developments.
