UNIPMA Refines Strategy, Targets Increased PKM 2026 Funding Success

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to strengthen its strategy and refine proposals in preparing students for the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM). This effort was realized through a proposal acceleration workshop titled Coaching PKM “From Zero to Funded: Successful PKM Strategies for UNIPMA Students,” held at the Integrated Laboratory on Wednesday (April 1).

The activity is part of the institution’s commitment to maintaining and improving its tradition of achievement at the national level. UNIPMA believes that success in PKM cannot be achieved instantly, but requires careful planning, sustainable program design, and structured mentoring from the study program level to the bureau.

The workshop involved university leaders in student affairs, PKM supervisors, PKM coordinators at the study program level, and student teams developing PKM proposals. This cross-campus collaboration is expected to strengthen the quality of proposals before they are submitted at the national level.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, S.Si., M.Pd., M.Si., emphasized that the activity is part of the university’s broader plan to prepare students systematically. According to him, national achievement targets must be programmed from the beginning and cannot be achieved suddenly.

He explained that UNIPMA has introduced a writing clinic scheme that involves both lecturers and students collaboratively. “This activity aims to improve the quality of PKM from the outset, so that before proposals are submitted, their chances of being accepted are already higher,” he said.

On this occasion, Dr. Wachidatul Linda Yuhanna, S.Pd., M.Si., Lusia Kristiasih Dwi P., S.S., M.A., and Dr. Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd., provided reinforcement materials ranging from idea development and proposal writing techniques to strategies for competing at the national level.

Through this activity, UNIPMA also emphasized that successful PKM proposals are not only recognized academically but can also be converted into certain courses. In addition, approved proposals will receive funding support from the university to support their implementation.

Through this initiative, UNIPMA targets an increase in the number of PKM proposals that secure national funding in 2026. More than that, the university hopes to strengthen a sustainable culture of research, innovation, and scientific work among students.
