UNIPMA Receives Visit from Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office Madiun, Opens Opportunities for Strategic Collaboration

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) welcomed a visit and coordination meeting from the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office Madiun at the Rectorate Meeting Room, Campus 1, on Monday (March 16). The meeting served as an important forum to discuss opportunities for collaboration across various strategic programs, ranging from student development to scholarship and student exchange partnerships.

The UNIPMA delegation was led by Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si., accompanied by officials from the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH), including Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dr. Liya Atika Anggrasari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Rizqi Husaini, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Rihan Mustafa Zahri, S.E., M.Ak. Meanwhile, the Immigration Office representatives attended to strengthen the synchronization of student capacity development programs and community service initiatives.

During the coordination, the Immigration Office emphasized the importance of preventing Human Trafficking Crimes (TPPO) and Human Trafficking Offenses (TPPM). Plans were made to integrate education on these issues with the Community Service Program (KKN) to ensure direct outreach to village communities.

Beyond prevention efforts, UNIPMA will also be facilitated in accessing immigration information, foreign nationals’ residence permit procedures, and overseas scholarship opportunities for students.

Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si., welcomed this initiative, stating that technical support from the Immigration Office is crucial for the smooth implementation of the university’s internationalization programs. “Programs such as KKN, internships, and student exchanges abroad require immigration technical guidance. This synergy will enrich students’ experiences while providing positive contributions to the public,” he said.

As a follow-up, both parties agreed on several concrete points, including:

  • Drafting an MoU as the legal framework for formal cooperation.
  • Student Development: Eight Immigration staff will mentor students participating in internships and KKN during the even semester (October–November).
  • ToT Program (Training of Trainers): Providing specialized training for students on TPPO and TPPM issues, supported by digital QR Code-based materials.
  • Visual Education: Installing immigration information media and foreign nationals’ procedures on campus.
  • Immigration Services: Technical guidance on passport processing aligned with UNIPMA’s academic calendar.

This collaboration is expected to serve as a productive initial step for the UNIPMA academic community as well as the broader Madiun Raya community.
