UNIPMA Distributes Zakat Fitrah, Strengthening Social Solidarity During Ramadan 1447 H
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) distributed zakat fitrah to the community as part of the Campus Ramadan Activities (RDK) 1447 H. The distribution took place at Campus 1 UNIPMA on Monday (16/3).
The zakat distribution was carried out symbolically by UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., together with the Head of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun, Dr. Nurhadji Nugraha, M.M. The zakat, in the form of rice, was handed over to representatives of the recipient community.
The event was attended by various university leaders, including vice rectors, faculty deans, lecturers, students, and community representatives from the zakat recipient areas. The presence of these academic and community representatives created a solemn atmosphere while reflecting the spirit of togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution of zakat fitrah serves as a form of social care from UNIPMA to the surrounding community. Beyond fulfilling the obligatory practice for Muslims before Eid al-Fitr, zakat fitrah also carries significant social meaning in helping to ease the needs of underprivileged members of society.
During the event, university leaders delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of sharing and reinforcing social care values throughout Ramadan. The activity is expected to strengthen relationships between UNIPMA’s academic community and the surrounding society.
Through this zakat fitrah distribution, UNIPMA continues to contribute to improving community welfare while fostering social solidarity within the campus environment. Looking forward, the university remains committed to implementing various social programs that provide benefits to the broader community.
