Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) commemorated Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 Hijri, combined with donations for orphans, at Graha Cendekia on Friday (6/3). The solemn event was attended by university leaders, lecturers, education staff, and students as part of strengthening the character of the academic community during Ramadan.

This year, UNIPMA carried the theme “Strengthening the Spirit of Nuzulul Qur’an in Building Scientific and Academic Moral Traditions Towards an Excellent and Trusted Campus.” The theme reflects UNIPMA’s commitment to integrating Qur’anic values into campus life. The moment of the revelation is expected to serve as a guide for the academic community in fostering a strong scientific tradition while reinforcing moral character in education, research, and community service activities.

The event began with a recitation of Qur’anic verses, followed by remarks from UNIPMA leadership. It also included the distribution of donations to orphans as a manifestation of social concern within the campus community.

During the occasion, a religious lecture (tausiah) was delivered by Gus Muchtim Humaidi, M.IRKH. He encouraged the UNIPMA community to treat the Qur’an not only as reading material but also as a guide for thinking, behaving, and creating meaningful work.

The Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration is not merely an annual ceremonial agenda. The event also serves as a platform to strengthen social bonds and reinforce the academic community’s commitment to cultivating scientific traditions and academic morals.
