UNIPMA Initiates International Collaboration with SNSU Philippines, Aiming to Enhance Academic Quality and Joint Research
Through the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has initiated an international collaboration with Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU), Philippines, as a strategic step to improve academic quality at the global level.
The initiation of this collaboration was discussed in an online meeting conducted via Zoom on Monday (9/2). The meeting was attended by delegations from both universities and served as an initial forum to explore potential collaboration in various academic and non-academic fields.
During the discussion, UNIPMA and SNSU explored several potential areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchange programs, the implementation of joint research, and the development of curricula that are adaptive to global needs and challenges. SNSU expressed its readiness and commitment to establish sustainable collaboration with UNIPMA.
The Head of BKH UNIPMA, Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized that this collaboration opens significant opportunities for both institutions to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in higher education management.
“This initiation serves as a strategic platform for UNIPMA and SNSU to collaborate in improving the quality of the tridharma of higher education, particularly through impactful academic exchanges and joint research,” she stated.
She further added that the synergy between UNIPMA and SNSU can strengthen academic capacity while also driving campus internationalization.
This initiative aligns with the higher education transformation currently promoted by UNIPMA under the concept of a “Kampus Berdampak” (Impactful Campus). In accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), higher education institutions are expected to play an active role in providing solutions to economic, social, and environmental issues at both national and global levels.
Through this international collaboration initiative, UNIPMA reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the quality of education through cross-border partnerships. The collaboration between UNIPMA and SNSU is expected to be realized in the near future and to have a positive impact on the academic and professional development of students and faculty members.
This effort is also part of UNIPMA’s vision to become an excellent university with global competitiveness and the ability to make tangible contributions to the world of education, both in Indonesia and internationally.
