The leadership of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues. Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd was officially reappointed and inaugurated as Rector of UNIPMA for his second term, 2026–2030. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Graha Cendekia Building on Monday (3/2) and was attended by Prof. Dr. Dyah Sawitri, S.E., M.M. (Head of LLDIKTI Region VII East Java), Dr. Nurhadji Nugraha, S.Pd., M.M. (Chair of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun), Dr. Joko Adi Walujo, S.T., M.M., DBA (PGRI East Java Board and BPLP PGRI), Prof. Dr. Supardi US, M.M., M.Pd. (Chair of BPLP PGRI), along with the entire UNIPMA academic community.

The inauguration became a strategic momentum for UNIPMA to strengthen its role as a driving force for excellent higher education institutions in the West Madiun region. Entering his second leadership period, Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd emphasized that the direction of campus policy is no longer focused on building foundations, but on strengthening university governance.

He places the principles of Good University Governance as a top priority to ensure institutional sustainability, improve the quality of education, and strengthen UNIPMA’s competitiveness at the national and international levels.

“Transparent, accountable, efficient, and participatory governance is the key. This also serves as our foundation to realize UNIPMA’s major target, namely achieving Superior Institutional Accreditation in 2027,” emphasized Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.

This optimism is supported by UNIPMA’s academic achievements, which continue to show a positive trend. Currently, UNIPMA has nine study programs with superior accreditation, including the Master’s Program in Social Studies Education, Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Bachelor’s Program in Physics Education, Bachelor’s Program in Civic Education, Bachelor’s Program in Indonesian Language Education, Bachelor’s Program in Biology Education, Bachelor’s Program in Economics Education, Bachelor’s Program in Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD), and Bachelor’s Program in Mathematics Education.

In 2026, several other study programs are scheduled to undergo field assessments with a target of obtaining additional superior accreditations.

From the perspective of human resources, improving lecturer qualifications is also a serious concern. Throughout 2025, the number of lecturers holding doctoral degrees increased to 100 people. UNIPMA currently has four professors and is targeting the addition of two more professors in 2026, bringing the total to six professors.

“With the strengthening of academic qualifications and lecturer ranks, the quality of learning will continue to improve. Going forward, we also encourage joint research so that lecturers’ research results have a direct impact on the learning process,” he explained.

Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd emphasized that the existence of higher education institutions must have a tangible impact, not only for the academic community, but also for society and industry. Therefore, UNIPMA will continue to strengthen collaboration, both internally and externally.

“Higher education institutions must be present to help solve community and industry problems. Our greatest asset is the solidarity of the academic community. If the internal community is solid, it will become a great strength to bring UNIPMA to grow further and improve in quality,” he concluded.
