Strengthening Global Position: UNIPMA and Tarlac State University Agree to Forge Research and Academic Collaboration
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again demonstrated its commitment to becoming a world-class higher education institution by expanding its international network. This strategic move was realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tarlac State University (TSU), Philippines, in a hybrid ceremony at the Rectorate Meeting Room on Friday (7/11), yesterday.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. (Rector of UNIPMA), accompanied by Dr. Jeffry Handika, M.Pd., M.Si. (Vice Rector for Field IV), Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd. (Head of Foreign Cooperation Division), as well as staff from the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH).
Attending virtually from TSU Philippines were Dr. Arnold E. Velasco (President of TSU), accompanied by Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Grace N. Rosete (Director of the Office of International Affairs), and their staff.
Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., in his address, affirmed that this collaboration is a strategic step for the university in realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (Three Pillars of Higher Education). "This cooperation will open a space for joint learning and serve as a bridge for exchanging ideas and experiences. This is an important step to enhance the quality of research and innovation, and strengthen UNIPMA's position on the international stage," he asserted.
The scope of the open collaboration covers various fields: faculty and student exchange, research partnership, synergy in science and technology development, and joint efforts to improve the university's image.
The signing of this MoU marks the beginning of a new chapter in the academic relationship between UNIPMA and TSU. This cooperation is expected to encourage the UNIPMA academic community to become more globally competitive and make a real contribution to solving global problems through research collaboration and innovation.
