1,165 UNIPMA Graduates Ready to Become Agents of National Change
Emotion and happiness filled the Graduation Ceremony for the Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Programs, Period XVII, of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), which was held last Saturday (25/10) at Graha Cendekia.
A total of 1,165 graduates from six faculties were officially inaugurated in an atmosphere of deep gratitude. Happy smiles radiated from the faces of the graduates and their families who attended the sacred moment.
The Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., in his address, asserted that UNIPMA graduates must be ready to adapt to the changing times and the increasingly dynamic demands of the professional world. According to him, the graduates are not only required to seek employment but must also be brave enough to create new job opportunities.
"Our hope is that UNIPMA graduates can create jobs, at least for themselves. Every study program has equipped students with entrepreneurship courses so that they become familiar with the business world from an early age," said Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
He added that this aligns with UNIPMA's vision to become a superior university at the national level and to produce graduates who are intelligent, competitive, and entrepreneurial. Through character- and competency-based education, UNIPMA remains committed to preparing a tough and innovative young generation to face global challenges.
The 1,165 graduates inaugurated this year consist of:
-
Postgraduate School: 181 graduates
-
Faculty of Teacher Training and Education: 520 graduates
-

This graduation ceremony carried the theme "One Spirit, One Goal, Building Indonesia," which reflects UNIPMA's determination to continue to grow and achieve in various fields.
UNIPMA's development in recent years is certainly commendable. UNIPMA has shown significant improvement, both academically and non-academically. In addition to achieving various national-level accomplishments, the quality of human resources among the lecturers continues to improve.
"Nearly half of UNIPMA's total lecturers now hold doctoral degrees, and four of them already hold the title of professor. Next year, we target an additional two to three professors," revealed Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
Of the 30 study programs offered, nine have achieved the 'Unggul' (Excellent) accreditation, serving as tangible proof of UNIPMA's seriousness in enhancing the quality of education and university governance. This effort is also reinforced by solid collaboration among the academic community in the fields of teaching, research, and community service.
In the future, UNIPMA aims to establish two new study programs, namely a Doctoral (S3) level and a professional program. Currently, the university is preparing supporting documents and infrastructure to make this a reality.
"We hope that, with the completeness of study programs and improved quality, UNIPMA will become increasingly superior, innovative, character-driven, and able to produce professional, competent, and highly competitive graduates," concluded Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
