UNIPMA Management Students Mentor Nori Jrembak MSME in Magetan, Improving Business Management

Students from class 7H of the Management Study Program at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) demonstrated a tangible contribution to the community through direct mentoring of the Nori Jrembak Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) in Magetan. This activity was carried out in Sumberdodol Village, Panekan District, Magetan Regency, as part of a community service program.

The main program focuses on optimizing business management to strengthen local economic capacity. This mentoring specifically provides support in the aspects of human resources (HR), marketing, and finance to encourage the business's sustainability.

Resyviona Mesya Luturmas, one of the student team members, explained that the fieldwork focused on compiling systematic business planning. "We discussed everything from organizational structure, creating social media for marketing, basic training, to installing a business signboard on the road," Resyviona explained yesterday, Monday (20/10).

This field mentoring was also supported by three supervising lecturers: Dr. Heny Sidanti, S.E., M.M., Dr. Karuniawati Hasanah, S.E., M.M., and Rollis Ayu Ditasari, S.E., M.Ak. The involvement of the lecturers ensured that the activity was aligned with the partner's real needs and relevant to the students' learning outcomes.

The course instructor, Sulthan Misbahul Ghifaari, S.E., M.M., affirmed that the synergy between students and lecturers in this program is a concrete form of the university's contribution in addressing community needs.

"This collaboration not only supports the capacity building of the MSME partner but also serves as a learning space for students to hone their competencies according to the graduate profile in the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) curriculum," said Sulthan Misbahul Ghifaari, S.E., M.M.

According to him, the benefits of the program extend from the academic aspect to job readiness. Students are encouraged not just to apply classroom theory but also to develop the soft skills and work relevance needed by the business world.

Sulthan Misbahul Ghifaari, S.E., M.M., added, "This activity also encourages sustainable cooperation between the university and the business sector. We strive to ensure this partnership continues through the principle of continuous improvement."

In addition to economic strengthening, the program also targets community empowerment. The team hopes that the Nori Jrembak MSME can develop sustainably.

"The goal of a business is not just to seek profit, but also to endure, be in demand by the community, and provide broad benefits," added Resyviona.

Through this mentoring, UNIPMA demonstrates its role as a higher education institution that not only focuses on classroom learning but also directly provides tangible solutions for local business actors.
