48 KIP-K Students and 7 from Timor Leste Officially Receive UNIPMA Scholarships
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held a scholarship awarding and orientation program for recipients of the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) Scholarship and International Scholarship (LN) at Graha Cendekia on Thursday (Sept 25). This event followed up on the selection results stated in the official decree of scholarship recipients.
The event was attended by students and their parents or guardians, UNIPMA leadership, PPLP PT PGRI Madiun board members, vice rectors, deans, and heads of study programs. On this occasion, students were required to bring a stamped statement letter signed together with their parents as a form of commitment to the rights and obligations of scholarship recipients.
As a symbolic gesture, the KIP-K scholarships were awarded to five student representatives, while seven students from Timor Leste received the international scholarships. This year, UNIPMA recorded 48 students from various regions in the Madiun Residency and other cities across Indonesia as KIP-K scholarship recipients, along with seven new international students from Timor Leste.
Head of the Student Affairs Office (BKM), Arri Kurniawan, S.S., M.Pd., emphasized that KIP-K recipients are entitled to a living allowance of IDR 4.8 million per semester. “The funds must be immediately reported to the campus with proof from the bank,” he explained. He also reminded students of the importance of following regulations, citing a past case in which a scholarship recipient had to resign mid-study due to marriage.
UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., congratulated the scholarship recipients while warmly welcoming the international students. He encouraged them to quickly adapt to the campus and community environment. “Good adaptation will make your learning process smoother and more comfortable at UNIPMA,” he stated.
Representative of the BKM team, Lusia Kristiasih Dwi P., S.S., M.A., explained in an interview that the orientation aimed to align perspectives between the campus, students, and their parents or guardians. “This way, all parties understand the rights and obligations of scholarship recipients while also learning from previous cases,” she said.
Through this scholarship program, UNIPMA not only provides financial support but also emphasizes the importance of academic responsibility and moral integrity throughout the study period.
