UNIPMA Library Introduces Services to New Students
The Library of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to foster a culture of literacy among its academic community. One of the efforts includes an introduction session for new students of the 2025 academic year, held on Tuesday (16/9).
The event was attended by students from the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKS), and Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). During the session, students were introduced to various library facilities, including the book lending system, access to digital references, and reading spaces designed to support their learning activities.
Beyond a simple tour of facilities, the program also featured presentations from UNIPMA librarians, representatives of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Madiun City, and UNIPMA student Statistic Agents. BPS highlighted the range of statistical data and information services available to students, which can support research and academic writing.
UNIPMA librarian Tika Ayuningtyas, S.IIP., in an interview, explained that the activity was designed to help new students become more familiar with the library as a center for literacy and research. “We hope the library can be a productive space for students while also fostering a stronger spirit of literacy,” she said on Thursday (25/9).
By introducing library services early on, the library is expected to become one of the vibrant academic hubs at UNIPMA—not only a place to find references, but also a center for research and discussion culture.
