Creative and Festive! PKKMB UNIPMA Colors the Campus with Fun Walk to Inaugural Performances
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) brought a different atmosphere to the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2025 on Saturday (13/9), yesterday. Not only filled with formal sessions, this event was packaged creatively and festively through a fun walk, the Student Creativity Competition (AKM), and inaugural performances involving new students, lecturers, and the organizing committee.
Since morning, thousands of participants gathered in the Integrated Lab courtyard to start the fun walk with the route: Integrated Lab – Jl. Kelapa Manis – Jl. Tanjung Manis – Jl. Setia Budi – Jl. Slamet Riyadi – ending at Graha Cendekia. The enthusiasm of the new students was visible from their spirit in following the route while wearing PKKMB attributes. Local residents also joined in witnessing the festivity.
The head of the PKKMB committee, Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., explained that the fun walk was joined not only by new students, but also by the entire academic community of UNIPMA, as well as sponsors. “After the fun walk, participants were directed to Graha Cendekia to watch the Student Creativity Competition (AKM), followed by the distribution of door prizes, and the inaugural performances,” he said.
The Student Creativity Competition showcased various performances, ranging from music, dance, drama, to other creations such as musical poetry, flash mobs, pencak silat, and comedy drama. This stage became a space of expression for new students to showcase their talents while honing their potential.
The inaugural performance was even more festive. In addition to student talents, UNIPMA also presented a local band from Madiun. Their presence was a form of the campus’ support for local artists to gain wider public recognition.
Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., added that this series of activities was designed to strengthen togetherness while showcasing UNIPMA’s existence to the community. “This year’s PKKMB is not only an introduction to campus life, but also an event to show that UNIPMA is present as a creative, accomplished, and community-friendly university,” he said.
Through this activity, UNIPMA reaffirmed its commitment to shaping a young generation with integrity, competitiveness, and readiness to create. PKKMB has become an important platform to build the character of new students in a fun, creative, and memorable way.
