UNIPMA Faculty of Law Establishes Collaboration with Madiun Religious Court

The Faculty of Law (FH) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has officially established a partnership with the Religious Court (PA) of Madiun Regency through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The signing ceremony, held at the Religious Court office in Nglames, was attended by the Court’s Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and staff. Representing UNIPMA were Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd (Rector), Dr. Jeffry Handika, M.Pd., M.Si (Vice Rector for Field IV), Dr. Siska Diana Sari, S.H., M.H (Dean of the Faculty of Law), Dr. Sulistya Eviningrum, S.H., M.H (Head of the Law Study Program), Dr. Liya Atika Anggrasari, S.Pd., M.Pd (Domestic Affairs Division, BKH), faculty members, and legal practitioners from UNIPMA.

Dr. Siska Diana Sari, S.H., M.H., emphasized that this MoU is a strategic step to strengthen partnerships in the areas of education, research, publication, and community service. “Collaboration with the Madiun Religious Court has in fact been ongoing for around two years through student internships. However, it is only this year that a formal MoU could be realized,” she explained.

She further highlighted that the cooperation also contributes to administrative requirements, particularly in strengthening accreditation. “The quantity and quality of cooperation through MoUs and MoAs serve as important components in accreditation assessments, both at the program and university levels,” she noted.

It is strongly hoped that this collaboration will not stop at the signing stage, but will be followed up with concrete implementation. This includes professional legal internships for seventh-semester students, joint research and publications involving lecturers, students, and court officials, as well as community service programs and their dissemination.

The Head of the Madiun Religious Court, Rasyid Muzhar, S.Ag., M.H., warmly welcomed the MoU. He affirmed that the institution he leads is always open to collaborating with universities, especially in supporting the implementation of the tridharma perguruan tinggi (three pillars of higher education).

“We are ready to synergize, not only through this MoU, but also by following up with more specific cooperation agreements in internships, research, and community service,” he asserted.

This collaboration is expected to expand UNIPMA’s network, particularly the Faculty of Law, with judicial institutions. With a clear legal framework, various forms of cooperation can be implemented more effectively, measurably, and beneficially for both parties.
