Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held an English Intensive Course as part of the preparation program (Orientation Program) for prospective students of the International Credit Transfer (ICT) Program for the Odd Semester 2025/2026. The activity, which took place at UNIPMA Campus 1, was held for three days, from August 14 to 16, 2025.

The English Intensive Course is a learning program designed to significantly improve students’ English skills, especially in oral communication and online presentation skills. The chairperson, who is also the secretary of the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH) UNIPMA, Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd., explained that this activity is mandatory for all ICT participants.

“This activity aims to improve public speaking and online presentation skills using English. Hopefully, students will be more confident when presenting in international forums,” she said on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

This program featured one instructor who is a lecturer from the English Education Study Program at UNIPMA as the speaker. The material provided includes effective online presentation strategies, techniques for delivering ideas clearly, and tips for overcoming nervousness when speaking in front of an audience.

With the English Intensive Course, UNIPMA hopes that students will not only be academically ready to attend lectures abroad but also able to adapt to the demands of professional global communication.
