The 5th National Student Sports and Arts Week (PORSENASMA) 2025 Officially Ends at Graha Cendekia, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), Saturday (9/8). As the host, UNIPMA concluded this prestigious event with a proud achievement, finishing in seventh place nationally among all PGRI universities across Indonesia.

This accomplishment was achieved thanks to winning 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals from various sports, arts, and scientific competition branches. The week-long competition featured 12 sports branches (cabor).

Among them were taekwondo, futsal, badminton, volleyball, chess, table tennis, petanque, karate, pencak silat, and swimming. In addition, there were 14 branches of arts and scientific work such as pop singing, dangdut, keroncong, color photography, poetry reading, English speech, e-sports, and PKM proposal writing.

UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., expressed his gratitude for the achievement. “We sent 151 athletes to this grand event, and thank God we brought home a lineup of medals,” he said.

He mentioned that top-performing branches like pencak silat, athletics, taekwondo, badminton, and PKM proposals were the biggest contributors to the university’s score. “Being the host while also competing at a national level is a pride in itself. This seventh-place finish is motivation to perform even better in the next event,” he added.

PORSENASMA V PT PGRI 2025 was not only a talent competition but also a platform to strengthen the bonds between PGRI universities. The closing ceremony was festive, featuring art performances by the host and peak excitement from winners during the announcement.

For UNIPMA, this success was not only about rankings but also about its reputation as a successful organizer. Adequate facilities, friendly service, and a conducive competitive atmosphere left a positive impression on participants. “We hope this achievement becomes a stepping stone for the next PORSENASMA,” said Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Supardi Uki S, representing BPLP PT PGRI, expressed full appreciation for the event’s organization. “The committee was truly outstanding, enabling this grand event to run elegantly and successfully without any obstacles,” he said.
