Wednesday, 4 October 2018, UNIPMA tried to improve its achievements. Few days ago, a group of lectures from Biology Education Study Program had passed and gained grant in Technology Prototype seminar to society. The fund of 2017’s program from Risbang Risrekdikti with the title “Verikultur Bawang Merah Sebagai Solusi Reduksi Lahan Pertanian di desa Puntukdoro, Plaosan, Magetan”. This program was conducted by Pujiati S.S,M.Si as the leader. Dr. Drh. C. Novi Primani, M.Pd as the second member. This cultural program cooperating with 3 farmers groups in Magetan region was conducted for 6 months (July-December 2017). The first group was Mulyo Sejati farmer group in Ngregeng orchard, Puntukdoro village, Plaosan subdistrict, and the last group was farmers group Buluhargo village, Plaosan subdistrict. According to Mrs. Pujiati, Magetan region is a region that is lived by plenty dwellers so that the land soil planting is increasingly narrow. Because of that, there should be technology inovation in farming field, especially on the narrow land. The program that have been conducted, has been able to implement the verticulture of onion on PVC plumb, 2 meters in length with more than 100 holes completed fertigation system. This technology prototype is inside of greenhouse (4x7 meters).

Besides being done the delivery of technology production to each farmer groups, it was also conducted the training of producting the biopesticide and biofertilizer independently for maintaining the onions. This program was always controlled continuously until the harvest. This technology will further be managed by farmer groups. The first income, from this program can be considered as the financial capital for the next planting. Even this village will be considered as village’s training for UNIPMA Biology Education Study Program. Mrs. Pujiati also stated that farmers are very enthusiastic in realization this program. The welcome and respons caming from the head of the village and society give encouragements for further program.
