The National Student Sports and Arts Week (PORSENASMA) V PT PGRI Across the Archipelago 2025 became an inspiring stage for students from various regions. One branch that caught attention was the Short Film Competition, held with high spirit and enthusiasm at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) as the host.

The person in charge of the activity, Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., explained that the competition began with an online selection from July 27 to August 2, 2025. “From 13 submitted short films, six finalists were selected to advance to the final round based on comprehensive evaluation,” he said.

The judging process considered five main criteria: story and moral message, cinematography and editing, character development and acting, conformity to the theme, and overall creativity.

The final round was held on Friday (8/8) at the Integrated Laboratory Building UNIPMA. Film screenings were conducted without presentation sessions, so the judges evaluated the works directly. From the six finalists, three main winners and several special awards were chosen.

Championship Results:

• 1st Place: Akar yang Menari – Universitas PGRI Kalimantan

• 2nd Place: Asa Itu Masih Ada – Universitas PGRI Madiun

• 3rd Place: TAUT – Universitas PGRI Semarang

Special Awards:

• Best Actor & Favorite Film: Langkah dari Hati – Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri

• Best Cinematography & Editing: Dua Sisi – STKIP PGRI Pacitan

• Best Story & Moral Message: Autobiografi Mahasiswa PGRI – IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro

Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., hopes this competition can encourage students to keep creating and improve the quality of their films. “In the future, this event is expected not only to produce quality art works but also to become a platform for students to develop in the world of filmmaking,” he concluded.
