Nusantara Dance at PORSENASMA V PT PGRI 2025, Presents a Stage Performance Full of Creativity

The dance art stage at the National Student Sports and Arts Week (PORSENASMA) V PT PGRI 2025 once again caught attention. Held at Warung Garasi, Madiun City, on Wednesday (6/8), 76 participants from 17 PGRI universities across Indonesia showcased their talents in a creative dance competition themed “The Existence of Local Wisdom as Regional Identity.”

Each performer presented dances that not only highlighted strong movement techniques but also brought local stories to life—from culture, culinary arts, customs, to typical livelihoods of their respective regions.

The person in charge of the dance branch, Sesaria Prima Yudhaningtyas, M.Pd., expressed her appreciation for the participants’ creativity. “All the works are very creative, each participant managed to process and present with diverse concepts,” she said.

The assessment was conducted strictly by a panel of judges consisting of figures in the dance world. They were Dr. Joko Winarko, M.Sn., a composer and dance artist from Surabaya; Dedy, a choreographer from Ponorogo who often appears on national festival stages; and Pariska from Pasuruan, an academician as well as a studio coach active in the professional dance world.

“The aspects judged include dance technique and expression, presentation (harmony of costumes, movements, and theme), as well as the concept of the work showing innovation,” added Sesaria Prima Yudhaningtyas, M.Pd.

From the tight competition, Universitas PGRI Kalimantan won 1st Place. Followed by Universitas PGRI Mahadewa in second place and Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri in third. For the consolation category, Universitas Bhineka PGRI took 1st Consolation, Universitas PGRI Jombang was 2nd Consolation, and Universitas PGRI Lumajang earned 3rd Consolation.

Sesaria Prima Yudhaningtyas, M.Pd., hopes this event is not just about competition but becomes a creative learning space for students. “PORSENASMA is not just a contest. It is a growth space for young campus artists to dare to express ideas and create complete works,” she concluded.

PORSENASMA V PT PGRI 2025 reaffirmed its position as a prestigious event that not only showcases sports excellence but also upholds the diversity and cultural richness of the nation.
