The 2025 PORSENASMA V PT PGRI National Student Sports and Arts Week is not only about sports but also serves as a meaningful space for academic expression. One of the most engaging branches was the scientific article writing competition, held at Campus 1 of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

A total of 15 teams from 17 PGRI universities across Indonesia took part in the competition. The process began in July with a technical meeting, where the committee shared templates and technical guidelines for the competition.

"All participants were required to submit their articles by July 20 at the latest. After that, the submitted manuscripts were immediately forwarded to the judges for the initial assessment process," said Dr. Wasilatul Murtafi’ah, S.Pd., M.Pd., the event coordinator.

Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. (Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo), Dr. Hestu Wilujeng, M.Pd. (UIN Ponorogo), and Fransiskus Gatot Iman Santoso, S.Si., M.Pd. (Universitas Widya Mandala Madiun) served as judges for the scientific article writing category. The evaluation results showed that all articles were of good quality, with average scores above 80. As a result, all participants were invited to the final presentation round.

The final was held in two sessions. The first session in the morning included eight teams, while the afternoon session involved seven teams. Each team presented their article directly in front of the judges after drawing random numbers. Judging was conducted digitally on the same day, allowing for quick and transparent results.

"Our hope is that these articles will develop into publishable works or be submitted for national programs such as PKM Belmawa," said Dr. Wasilatul Murtafi’ah, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The presence of this academic arts branch serves as a reminder that PORSENASMA V PT PGRI is not only about physical prowess and on-field performance, but also a place to cultivate intellectuality and nurture the next generation of young writers among PGRI students throughout Indonesia.
