The art stage at the National Student Sports and Arts Week (PORSENASMA) V PT PGRI 2025 once again stole the spotlight. This time, it was the dangdut singing category that drew enthusiastic attention from the audience. Held at the Meeting Room of the Integrated Laboratory, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the competition served as a platform for PGRI university students from across Indonesia to showcase their vocal talents in performing legendary dangdut songs.

The event coordinator, Dr. Heny Sidanti, S.E., M.M., stated that this event was not just a competition, but also an important space for artistic expression among students.

“This activity is very positive because it reintroduces legendary dangdut songs to the younger generation. They come to understand the original character of dangdut music, not just the modern styles,” she said.

The event was held in a single day, directly featuring the final round and judging session. The panel of judges came from various backgrounds, including representatives from Surabaya and local Madiun.

Participants came from various PGRI universities across Indonesia. There were a total of three performance waves, each showcasing extraordinary stage energy from the students.

“Students have been given the stage to perform—this is a starting point for them to assess their own vocal quality and improve their singing techniques. The hope is that their quality will continue to increase,” added Dr. Heny Sidanti, S.E., M.M.
