Swimming at PORSENASMA V in Pasar Gede Pool Madiun: 22 Events Contested, UNP Kediri Dominates

The swimming branch of sports at the Pekan Olahraga dan Seni Nasional Mahasiswa (PORSENASMA) V PT PGRI was officially held at Pasar Gede Swimming Pool, Madiun City, on Tuesday (5/8).

A total of 12 universities participated in this competition, including Universitas PGRI Jombang, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri, Universitas PGRI Palembang, Universitas PGRI Semarang, Universitas PGRI Silampari, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia, STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung, STKIP PGRI Bangkalan, Universitas Bhinneka PGRI, Universitas PGRI Banyuwangi, and Universitas PGRI Pontianak.

Out of 22 scheduled events, two could not be held due to a lack of participants. By Monday afternoon, 15 events had been completed, with the remaining scheduled to continue until the end of the competition.

“The event ran smoothly and received full support from all contingents. With a semi-automatic timing system connected to a computer, the results of the competition are more accurate,” said Reza Kusuma Setyansah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Competition Coordinator (PIC) for Swimming.

The UNIPMA organizing committee also collaborated with the technical delegate from the Provincial Aquatics Board of Indonesia (PRAI), including certified professional referees. “Match quality is a priority, so we engaged competent and experienced technical personnel,” added Reza.

Besides showcasing achievements, Reza emphasized that PORSENASMA also aims to strengthen the fellowship among PGRI universities throughout Indonesia. “This is not just about winning or losing, but a moment to build networks, solidarity, and togetherness within the PGRI framework,” he said.
