Festive Gala Dinner of Porsenasma V Marks the Beginning of the Prestigious Event for PGRI Students Across Indonesia
The 5th PORSENASMA of PGRI Universities Across the Archipelago Officially Begins with a Warm Gala Dinner Held at Bakorwil Madiun City on Monday Evening, 04/08/2025. This event marked the start of the triennial national student sports and arts week, which this year is hosted by Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA).
Carrying the theme "Revive Sportsmanship, Express Creativity!", the Gala Dinner brought a warm and unifying atmosphere to thousands of students from 38 PGRI universities throughout Indonesia. They attended as part of contingents ready to showcase their best abilities in various sports and arts competitions, which will take place from August 4 to 9, 2025.
The Gala Dinner was also attended by notable figures, including the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Mayor of Madiun Maidi, General Chairperson of PB PGRI Prof. Dr. Unifah Rosyidi, M.Pd., Director General of Higher Education, and rectors and leaders of PGRI universities across the archipelago.
In his speech, UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., invited all participants to uphold the spirit of healthy competition.
"Compete with enthusiasm, achieve excellence, and always maintain sportsmanship," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PB PGRI, Prof. Dr. Unifah Rosyidi, M.Pd., highlighted the importance of togetherness in this event.
"The warmth of this Gala Dinner reflects our collective spirit as one big PGRI family. This is a moment of blessing and collaboration that we must be grateful for," she stated.
The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, in her remarks, conveyed the importance of synergy between education and character development.
"Together with teachers, we are not only educating the nation but also shaping the strong character of the next generation," she expressed.
