National Student Sports and Arts Week (Porsenasma) V 2025 Becomes More Lively with the Presence of the Stand-Up Comedy Art Branch Held at the Integrated Laboratory of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), Monday, 04/08/2025.
Laughter and thunderous applause filled the room as young comedians from various universities showcased their talents on stage.

Puguh Jayadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., the person in charge of this art branch, stated that the participants’ enthusiasm was extraordinary.
“Stand-up comedy is not just entertainment, but also a medium to express ideas in an intelligent and humorous way. The participants performed wholeheartedly and with great spirit. They didn’t just want to perform but also wanted to contribute to the world of stand-up comedy,” he said.

Carrying the theme “Fostering Solidarity through Sportsmanship,” this event served as a platform for participants to explore relevant and entertaining material. More than just a competition, this activity is expected to be a first step for students to get involved in local stand-up comedy communities. This hope is strengthened by the presence of judges who are active comedians from stand-up comedy communities in Kediri, Madiun, and Surabaya.

According to Puguh Jayadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., art is not always about visuals.
“Art can also be present through voice and narrative, such as in stand-up comedy. This is where students are challenged to convey messages, social criticism, and even personal concerns in a creative and entertaining way,” he added.

Eight universities took part in this competition, namely:

• Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri

• Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe

• Universitas PGRI Semarang

• Universitas PGRI Madiun

• Universitas Bhineka PGRI

• Universitas PGRI Mpu Sendok

• Universitas PGRI Jombang

• Universitas PGRI Wiranegara

After a series of laughter-filled performances and healthy competition, the panel of judges announced the winners:

• 1st Place: Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri

• 2nd Place: Universitas Bhineka PGRI

• 3rd Place: Universitas PGRI Semarang

This event proved that performing arts, including stand-up comedy, can be a means of expression and talent development for students. Beyond the competition, participants also fostered camaraderie in an atmosphere full of laughter and togetherness.
