The futsal branch of the National Student Sports and Arts Week (Porsenasma) V 2025 has officially kicked off. PGRI University of Madiun (UNIPMA), as the host, opened the competition on Monday (August 4) at the GOR Cendekia UNIPMA. Over the next three days, participating teams will compete in a knockout format starting from the first round, culminating in the final match on Wednesday (August 6).

The event coordinator, Dr. Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that all preparations went smoothly and were well-organized. “The committee has thoroughly prepared all the needs for the competition—from facilities and match equipment to the scheduling system,” he said.

A total of 20 teams from PGRI-affiliated universities across Indonesia are participating in this competition. These include teams from STKIP Bangkalan, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, Universitas PGRI Delta Sidoarjo, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Universitas PGRI Semarang, Universitas PGRI Pontianak, UPG 1945 NTT, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta, STKIP PGRI Sumenep, STKIP PGRI Trenggalek, Universitas PGRI Banyuwangi, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, STKIP Pacitan, Universitas PGRI Bhineka, Universitas Ronggolawe, STKIP Ponorogo, ITBES Jombang, Universitas PGRI Jombang, and Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri.

With the knockout system in place, each team is expected to perform at their best from the very first match. The competition atmosphere is guaranteed to be intense and full of sportsmanship.

Dr. Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd., hopes that the entire futsal competition will run smoothly and serve as a platform for both achievement and camaraderie among PGRI students from across Indonesia. “We hope everything goes safely, orderly, and upholds the spirit of fair play,” he added.

Porsenasma V is a biennial event that brings together students from PGRI universities across Indonesia in sports and arts competitions, aiming to develop a generation of young people who are excellent and competitive.
