Concrete Efforts to Realize a Safe and Violence-Free Campus, UNIPMA Holds PPKPT 2025 Seminar

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) Continues to Emphasize Its Commitment to Creating a Safe, Inclusive, and Violence-Free Educational Environment. Through the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (Satgas PPKPT), UNIPMA held a seminar titled “Creating a Safe and Caring Campus Free from Violence and Human Trafficking”, at the Integrated Laboratory, Monday, July 28, 2025.

The event was attended by Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. (Rector of UNIPMA), members of the UNIPMA PPKPT Task Force, as well as representatives of Student Association Boards (HMPS) and Faculty Student Associations (HMF). In his remarks, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo emphasized that a campus must be a safe learning space. He urged all members of the academic community not to hesitate to report any acts of violence to the PPKPT Task Force.

“Campus is a comfortable place to learn. There must be no sexual violence. If there's a problem, report it to the PPKPT team, not to social media,” he stressed.

The seminar featured two expert speakers. The first, Robik Anwar Dani, M.Psi., Psychologist, a lecturer and child and education clinical psychologist from the Indonesian Psychology Association (HIMPSI), delivered material on the importance of building a caring campus that is free from violence and human trafficking. The second speaker, Drs. Ibnu Mahmudi, M.M., Chair of the UNIPMA PPKPT Task Force and also a permanent lecturer, presented material titled “Together Against Violence.”

The event’s committee chair, Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd., stated in an interview that the seminar aimed to raise awareness among UNIPMA students about the dangers and impacts of bullying, sexual violence, and human trafficking. Additionally, the seminar is expected to provide knowledge and skills for students to prevent and combat violence.

“Through this seminar, we want students to be more aware of the importance of creating a safe campus environment and to become agents of change in preventing violence,” said Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd.

As a follow-up, the PPKPT Task Force will also launch an educational campaign through posters. These posters must include the UNIPMA logo, the DIKTISAINTEK BERDAMPAK logo, and the PPKPT logo, and contain information related to the prevention of bullying and human trafficking on campus. All materials must comply with the implementation of Ministerial Regulation (Permendikbudristek) No. 55 of 2024 and not contain elements of ethnicity, religion, race, or inter-group sentiment (SARA).

The UNIPMA PPKPT Task Force symbolizes a continued presence at the forefront of efforts to prevent and handle violence in higher education. It is hoped that all campus elements can synergize to create a safe, healthy, and civilized learning atmosphere.
