In an effort to improve journal management quality and strengthen steps toward reputable international indexing, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a Journal Management and Indexing Training at the Integrated Laboratory on Thursday, 17/07/2025.

This program was specifically designed to provide lecturers with a deep understanding of strategies for managing scientific journals that not only meet academic standards but are also easy to understand and systematically structured.

The event was officially opened by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of professional, internationally standardized journal management as part of the university’s contribution to the advancement of science.

The training featured two experts in scientific publication: Prof. Dr. Iman Rusmana, M.Si., and Dr. Kanthi Arum Widayanti, S.Si., M.Si., who also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Hayati Journal of Biosciences. Both had previously served as speakers in the coaching clinic session held on Monday, 14/07/2025.

During the session, participants received comprehensive materials on journal management, strategies for improving editorial quality, and technical steps toward indexing in reputable international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.

The atmosphere became increasingly dynamic during the Q&A session, with participants taking advantage of the opportunity to discuss their challenges and strategies for journal management directly with the speakers.

This activity is part of UNIPMA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of journals managed by faculties and study programs. With this training, it is expected that UNIPMA journals will achieve international indexing and become key references in the development of global scientific knowledge.
