UNIPMA Strengthens Academic Rank Governance for Lecturers in Collaboration with LLDIKTI Region VII
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) is actively strengthening the quality of its academic rank governance for lecturers. This commitment was realized through the Technical Guidance on Academic Rank Governance for Higher Education Lecturers – LLDIKTI Region VII Batch I, held at the Integrated Laboratory on Thursday, 17/07/2025.
This activity, a collaboration between UNIPMA and the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region VII of East Java, aimed to align the process of applying for lecturer functional positions—from Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, to Professor—with the latest LLDIKTI guidelines and regulations.
Through this forum, UNIPMA lecturers gained in-depth and systematic understanding of academic rank governance mechanisms, including the use of digital systems, which have now become the standard in academic personnel administration.
In his opening remarks, UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that improving lecturer governance quality is part of the institution’s strategy to create an excellent, sustainable academic climate aligned with national policies. “We ensure that all processes of academic rank applications at UNIPMA comply with regulations and optimal governance,” he stressed.
In addition to providing technical training, the activity also served as a platform for discussions between UNIPMA and LLDIKTI Region VII. Participating lecturers had the opportunity to convey various technical and administrative challenges they often face in the process of applying for functional positions.
The main materials of the activity were delivered by speakers from the LLDIKTI Region VII committee: Drs. Kuncoro Foe, G.Dip.Sc., Ph.D., Apt., and Dr. Jimmy, S.T., M.I.S., CISA. Their presence provided lecturers with practical insights and concrete solutions in preparing for academic promotions.
Through this activity, UNIPMA is optimistic about strengthening its internal governance, increasing the number of lecturers holding higher academic ranks, and boosting the overall quality of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.
