4 UNIPMA Faculties Strengthen Industry Partnerships through Consolidation and Signing of MoU and MoA
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), through the Field Experience Practice and Internship Unit (UPPLM), officially invited and initiated a consolidation and alignment of perspectives with various internship partners. The event, held at the Integrated Laboratory on Wednesday, 16/07/2025, marked UNIPMA's concrete step in strengthening synergy between higher education and the industrial sector to produce highly qualified and job-ready human resources.
The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Health and Science (FIKS), and Faculty of Law (FH) were the four main faculties involved in this activity. The event was attended by 48 partners from various government agencies, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and industries, along with deans, vice deans, and heads of study programs from each faculty.
In his remarks, UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that this collaboration is expected to go beyond student internship programs, extending to other areas of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. “This meeting is crucial for finding the best solutions to ensure that universities can prepare human resources that truly meet industry needs,” stressed Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
The consolidation agenda was marked by the signing of several cooperation documents, including MoUs and MoAs. Agreements established include:
-
MoU between the UNIPMA Rector and PT. Amins Project Indonesia;
-
MoA between FIKS and Level 4 Hospital of Madiun City (DKT);
-
MoA between FT and PT. Amins Project Indonesia;
-
MoA between FEB and Bank BTN;
-
MoA between FH and Madiun City Religious Court.
The event chair, Hani Atun Mumtahana, S.Kom., M.Kom., reported that the activity aimed to align perceptions of internship implementation while synergizing higher education curricula with the real HR needs of the industry. “Universities must adapt their curricula, while partners can provide input based on real conditions in the field,” she explained.
UNIPMA Vice Rector IV, Dr. Jeffry Handika, M.Pd., M.Si., also highlighted the importance of integrating industry and education in the context of internships. Meanwhile, Head of UPPLM UNIPMA, Ir. Sulistyaning Kartikawati, MM., M.Pd., provided a technical explanation of the scheme and timeline for the student internship program.
This collaboration opens broader access for students to select internships aligned with their fields of expertise. At the same time, industry partners can now provide more accurate HR needs data, making the educational process more relevant and applicable to industrial dynamics.
This strategic step reaffirms UNIPMA’s commitment to strengthening its collaboration network with the industrial sector. The initiative not only supports internship activities but also strengthens curriculum development and other innovative programs in the future.
