In an effort to improve scientific writing, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a “Coaching Clinic on Scientific Article Writing for Reputable Journals” at the Integrated Laboratory of UNIPMA on Monday, July 14, 2025. This activity was designed to equip lecturers and academics with the skills to write scientific articles that meet international academic standards while remaining clear, systematic, and easy to understand.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., preceded by a welcome speech from the Head of the Research and Scientific Publication Center (P31).

Featuring two expert speakers in the field of scientific publication, Prof. Dr. Iman Rusmana, M.Si., and Dr. Kanthi Arum Widayanti, S.Si., M.Si., who also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Hayati Journal of Biosciences, the event thoroughly explored various aspects of scientific article writing. Topics included article structure techniques, selecting target journals, and upholding publication ethics, all explained comprehensively.

Participants, the majority of whom were lecturers, showed great enthusiasm throughout the event. The atmosphere became even more interactive during the Q&A session, where many participants took the opportunity to directly discuss the challenges they face in scientific publication and sought concrete feedback on the drafts they were currently working on.

The series of activities aimed at improving the quality of scientific publications will continue on Wednesday, July 17, 2025, at the same location. The next event, titled Journal Management and Indexing Training, is expected to further strengthen the position of UNIPMA journals at both national and international levels.
