Eid al-Adha 1446 H, UNIPMA Holds Communal Qurban: A Celebration of Gratitude and Solidarity

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) celebrated Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri with a communal qurban event held on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The event took place in the parking area of UNIPMA Campus 1 and involved the slaughtering of five cows and three goats.

The event was attended by UNIPMA Rector Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., Chairman of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun Drs. H. Imam Sujudi, along with members of the rectorate, deans, program heads, lecturers, educational staff, employees, and students. A strong sense of togetherness was evident as the entire academic community worked hand-in-hand, from the slaughtering process to the distribution of qurban meat.

Of the eight qurban animals, five cows and two goats were slaughtered on campus, while one goat was donated to SMK Cendekia Madiun as a form of collaboration and solidarity between educational institutions. The meat was then distributed to surrounding communities through local neighborhood associations (RT and RW).

Eid al-Adha, commemorated by Muslims in honor of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail, served as a deeply spiritual reflection for the UNIPMA community.

This celebration was not only an expression of gratitude for the blessings received but also a tangible demonstration of UNIPMA’s commitment to upholding religious and humanitarian values.

The spirit of unity, care, and gratitude shown during this occasion is hoped to continue and become a lasting positive culture within the UNIPMA campus environment.
