UNIPMA Launches Hybrid Class, A Proof of Readiness to Face the Digital Transformation in Education
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has officially launched the Hybrid Class facility as part of the Learning Innovation Research Program grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The inauguration was held on Thursday, 22/05/2025, at Room 301 UNIPMA and was also attended online via Zoom.
This program is an incentive for achieving 8 Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for Private Universities, aimed at encouraging learning transformation through the utilization of technology, learning innovation, and improvement in higher education quality. UNIPMA is listed as one of 138 universities in Indonesia included in cluster 1 of grant recipients, out of a total of 275 universities that passed this program.
In the report delivered by the Head of the Program, Muh. Nur Luthfi Azis, S.Kom., M.Kom., it was explained that UNIPMA received a grant in the form of equipment directly from a vendor appointed by DIKTI with a total funding of IDR 400 million. Out of 292 universities that applied, only 275 were declared eligible, and only 138 were included in cluster 1, including UNIPMA.
The inauguration event was attended by university leaders, including the Chairperson of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun and team, the Rector of UNIPMA, deans, heads of study programs, vice deans, heads of bureaus, and program secretaries. Most guests also attended the event online.
The Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., in his remarks, urged all academic members to make the most of the Hybrid Class facilities. “This facility has been prepared to support the learning process. Therefore, use it optimally,” he emphasized.
He explained that although UNIPMA does not yet have permission to conduct fully online learning, the hybrid model is an effective alternative, especially to facilitate the learning process for students in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program, where the learning model combines online and offline methods in accordance with a predetermined composition.
With this inauguration, UNIPMA reaffirms its commitment to continuously strengthen research programs and learning innovations that are more adaptive to the challenges of the times. This incentive is expected to encourage improvements in governance quality and the overall quality of higher education in Indonesia.
