UNIPMA Hosts PORSENASMA National 2025: First Coordination Meeting Held

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has officially been appointed as the host of the 2025 Pekan Olahraga dan Seni Mahasiswa (PORSENASMA), a national-level sports and arts event for students. In preparation for this major event, UNIPMA held the first Coordination Meeting of PGRI University Leaders from across East Java at the Integrated Laboratory on Tuesday, May 25, 2025.

The meeting was attended by leaders from various PGRI-affiliated universities and institutes in East Java, including Universitas Nusantara Kediri, Universitas Ronggolawe Tuban, Universitas PGRI Banyuwangi, Universitas Wiranegara, STKIP PGRI Pacitan, IKIP PGRI Pacitan, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis PGRI Jombang, Universitas PGRI Jombang, Universitas PGRI Mpu Sendok, Universitas PGRI Delta Sidoarjo, STKIP Ponorogo, STKIP Lumajang, STKIP Bangkalan, Universitas Madani Blitar, Universitas PGRI Wiranegara, and STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang.

This meeting served as a strategic platform to align visions and discuss the technical preparations for PORSENASMA, which is scheduled to be held in the coming months. A spirit of collaboration and synergy among campuses was evident in the dynamic atmosphere of the meeting.

In his opening speech, UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd, reaffirmed UNIPMA’s full commitment to serving as a professional, hospitable, and character-driven host. He emphasized that PORSENASMA is more than just a competition—it is a unifying platform that fosters student potential in both sports and the arts.

"UNIPMA is ready to be a warm, professional, and characterful host. We are preparing not only the facilities but also a welcoming atmosphere that encourages sportsmanship and creativity among students," he said.

The meeting featured interactive discussions, with contributions and shared experiences from the attending institutions to ensure each competition category runs smoothly and memorably. Participants agreed on the importance of early and thorough preparation to ensure the success of an event that goes beyond competition and becomes a platform for strengthening the national network among PGRI students.

As the host, UNIPMA brings the unique spirit of Madiun—known as the City of Warriors (Kota Pendekar)—to warmly welcome thousands of participants from across Indonesia. The event is expected to be a significant moment for fostering solidarity and unity among PGRI university students nationwide.
