The leadership team of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a meeting and social gathering with the Mayor of Madiun, Dr. Drs. H. Maidi, SH, MM, M.Pd, to discuss preparations for the 5th Student Sports and Arts Week (Porsenasma V). This strategic meeting took place at the Madiun City Hall on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., attended the meeting alongside other campus leaders, including Dr. Nurhadji Nugraha, M.M (Secretary of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun), Dr. Elva Nuraina, S.E., M.Si (Vice Rector I UNIPMA), Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd (Vice Rector II UNIPMA), Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd (Vice Rector III UNIPMA), Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si (Vice Rector IV UNIPMA), Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, M.Pd (Committee of Porsenasma V PT PGRI), and Arri Kurniawan, S.S., M.Pd (Coordinator of Sports Events).

During the meeting, the discussion focused on UNIPMA's readiness as the host for Porsenasma V, which will take place from August 4-9, 2025. This event will bring together students from all Teacher Education Institutions (LPTK) across Indonesia in various sports, arts, and cultural competitions.

Interestingly, the mascot for Porsenasma V has been chosen as the "Pendekar" (Warrior), a unique icon of Madiun City symbolizing agility, courage, and the fighting spirit. Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo emphasized that the theme and spirit of the Pendekar align perfectly with the event's goals, which are to establish Madiun as a city not only of progress but also as a center of achievement and culture.

"Porsenasma is a significant moment for both UNIPMA and Madiun City to showcase their best potential on the national stage. We want this event to be more than just a competition; it should also be an opportunity to promote culture, unity, and agility—just like the character of the Pendekar," said Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.

The Mayor of Madiun, Dr. Drs. H. Maidi, SH, MM, M.Pd., warmly welcomed the hosting of Porsenasma V in Madiun City. He expressed full support from the City Government, including facilitating infrastructure and promoting the event. He also suggested planting trees as a symbol of sustainability and the green spirit of the event.

"We will fully support this. A national event like this brings many benefits, not just for the students but also for the people of Madiun. This is also part of branding the city as a hub of positive and educational activities," he said.

Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., added that coordination with the Madiun City Government will continue to ensure the smooth execution of Porsenasma. Follow-up meetings have been planned to finalize technical aspects and the welcoming of participants from all across Indonesia.

With the synergy between UNIPMA and the Madiun City Government, Porsenasma V is expected to not only become a stage for student achievements but also a stage for the glory of the City of Warriors on the national stage.
