UNIPMA Distributes Zakat Fitrah, Strengthens Social Solidarity During Ramadan
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) distributed zakat fitrah to the community on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Campus 1 UNIPMA as part of its Ramadan Campus Program (RDK).
The zakat distribution was symbolically carried out by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd, alongside Drs. H. Imam Sujudi from PPLP PT PGRI and Dr. Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd, who serves as the Chair of the RDK Committee. The zakat fitrah, in the form of rice, was handed over to community representatives.
The event was also attended by vice rectors, faculty deans, lecturers, students, and representatives from the zakat recipient areas. Their presence added to the solemn atmosphere and reflected a strong spirit of unity.
In his speech, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo emphasized that this is an annual agenda aimed at strengthening the bond between the academic community and society. “Zakat fitrah is a religious obligation for Muslims during Ramadan. By fulfilling it, we are not only sharing happiness but also deepening our piety to God Almighty,” he said.
Similarly, Drs. H. Imam Sujudi expressed his hope that this spirit of sharing would bring joy to everyone and multiply the blessings of Ramadan. “May we all be granted ease and success in our lives,” he added.
The event became more solemn with a prayer led by Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., hoping that the distributed zakat would bring blessings to all beneficiaries.
Through this activity, UNIPMA continues to contribute to community welfare and promote social solidarity. In the future, the university remains committed to expanding various social programs that benefit the wider community.
