A total of 545 students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) participated in the preparation for the Field Teaching Program (PLP) I and Microteaching for the 2024/2025 academic year. The event, held at Graha Cendekia on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, marked the initial stage before the students are sent to partner schools to hone their teaching skills.

During the implementation of PLP-I, the students will be accompanied by 60 field supervisor lecturers (DPL), who will serve as mentors and guides throughout their practice in the schools. The DPLs will provide direct guidance so that students can better implement educational theories in real-world teaching environments.

The preparation session featured five expert speakers who provided in-depth insights to the students. Dr. Lingga Nico Pradana, M.Pd, along with the PMB Team, explained the PLP-I system, while Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd, and Ms. Asri Musandi Waraulia, S.Pd., M.Pd., discussed the implementation mechanism. Dr. Samsul Arifin, M.Pd, outlined the concept and practice of microteaching, and Drs. Ibnu Mahmudi, M.M, from the PPKPT Task Force Team, emphasized the importance of ethics and the prevention of bullying in education.

The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd, stressed that the purpose of this preparation was to prepare students for their roles as future educators. "Becoming a teacher is not just about teaching, but also about being a role model for students. The behavior, attitude, and discipline of students must reflect the figure of a professional educator. With this preparation, they will be more ready to face the real world of education," she said in an interview.

Students participating in this program will carry out their practice in various partner schools located in Madiun and the surrounding areas. These schools include SDN Klagenserut 1, SDN Wayut 3, SDN Ngadirejo 2, SDN Jatirejo, SDN Buduran, SDN Sirapan 1, SDN Maospati 3, SDN Tinap 2, SDN Teguhan 2, RA Al Hadid, TK Masyitoh, Cendekia Kids School, SDN Jiwan 1, SDN Jiwan 2, SDN Grobogan 2, SDN Dimong 3, SDN Mejayan 1, SDN Klitik 1, SDN Bulu 1, SDN Sugihwaras 1, SMK Gamaliel, SMKN Wonoasri, SMKN 1 Jiwan, SMKN 2 Jiwan, MAN 4 Kabupaten Madiun, SMAN Karas, SMAN 1 Barat, SMAN Sukomoro, SMAN 1 Maospati, SMAN 1 Jiwan, SMAN 2 Mejayan, and SMK Cendekia.

The PLP-I and Microteaching preparation is expected to help students not only master educational theory but also apply it effectively in the classroom. This activity marks the first step for them to develop into professional teachers, ready to face the challenges in the world of education and make a real contribution to the advancement of future generations.
