With the theme "Mentoring for UMKM Home Industry Laris Tahu Jaya in Kedungputri Village, Paron District, Ngawi Regency", this activity is intended to introduce students to various aspects of production, business management, and product innovation applied by UMKM. In addition, this activity is also an important means to establish collaboration between the world of education and business actors to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of UMKM.
A total of 19 students of the UNIPMA Tax Management Diploma 3 Study Program had the opportunity to participate in this activity. The activity began with a visit to the Laris Tahu Jaya Traditional Tofu Factory, where students were invited to see the tofu production process firsthand.
The business owner welcomed the group with an explanation of the history of the factory and the challenges faced in maintaining product quality. Students learned how efficiency and consistency are the keys to success for small and medium businesses in facing tight market competition.
The visit continued to the Round Tofu and Cuttlefish Factory, which is one of the innovations of the Laris Tahu Jaya Home Industry. Here, students can see firsthand the process of making round tofu and cuttlefish, from mixing ingredients to forming and packaging. The purpose of this visit was to inspire students about the importance of product innovation as a strategy to expand the market and add value to products.
In addition to gaining insight into the production process, students also attended a sharing session with the owner of the Laris Tahu Jaya Home Industry, which was attended by lecturers from the UNIPMA Tax Management Diploma 3. This session provides students with a deeper understanding of the real business world and how creativity and innovation can be solutions to various business challenges.
As part of community service, lecturers and students also assist Home Industry Laris Tahu Jaya in several important aspects, such as branding and marketing strategies and the development of new product variants. This assistance aims to help MSMEs improve their competitiveness and provide students with direct experience in contributing to society.
