UNIPMA ICT Program, Study Abroad Opportunity for Students
The International Credit Transfer (ICT) program held by Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again provides an opportunity for students to broaden their horizons abroad. In the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, UNIPMA sent a delegation of 4 students from the History Education, PGSD, Physics Education, and Management study programs to Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) in the Philippines, 2 students from the information systems study program to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM) in Malaysia, and 5 students took part in the online ICT program at Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) in the Philippines from the biology, law, and information systems education study programs. This ICT program allows students to take lectures at partner universities abroad, both offline and online, and provides invaluable international study experience. In an interview with Mrs. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd, the person in charge of the UNIPMA ICT program, she explained that this program aims to enrich students' knowledge and open their insights about the culture and education system in other countries.
"This program provides an opportunity for students to learn more, not only about lecture materials, but also about how to interact with friends from various countries and cultures," said Mrs. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd., in her interview on Tuesday, 1802/2025.
In addition, this program also aims to establish closer cooperation between UNIPMA and overseas campuses, which in the future are expected to develop in the form of research collaborations and lecturer visits.
In terms of funding, the ICT Program is supported by government grants and co-funding between the university and the students' parents. Mrs. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd added, "This funding ensures that the program can run smoothly and students still have a responsibility to participate."
In the future, Mrs. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd hopes that this ICT program can continue to develop and open more opportunities for UNIPMA students to establish international cooperation, such as research collaboration or inviting lecturers from abroad to teach at UNIPMA.
With this ICT program, UNIPMA strives to produce students who are not only academically intelligent but also ready to compete in the global world. "This experience of studying abroad will help them in their future careers," concluded Mrs. Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd.
This program is also a real example of how higher education in Indonesia can connect students with the international world, opening up opportunities for growth and development.
