The Master's Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) at the Postgraduate School of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held a practitioner's lecture themed "Book Review of Painting Events" on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The event, held in the UNIPMA Postgraduate Hall, featured Fileski, a national poet and the author of the book Painting Events, as the main speaker.

This highly anticipated event was attended by postgraduate (S2) and undergraduate (S1) students of PBSI at UNIPMA. The discussion was engaging, combining an appreciation of literary art with critical analysis from an academic perspective.

One of the panelists at the event, Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., delivered an in-depth review of Fileski's work. He explained that the book Painting Events not only offers poems full of meaning but also encourages readers to understand life more deeply through the beauty of language.

“Hopefully, activities like this can become the starting point for the growth of literary enthusiasm at UNIPMA, making our campus not only a center of learning but also a hub for the development of literary works,” said Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd.

This event not only provided students with insights into the creative process of a poet but also directly connected them with a literary practitioner. Fileski, as the keynote speaker, shared stories about the inspiration behind his work and how each poem he wrote reflects the events he experienced.

The book review is expected to be a stepping stone in establishing a literary tradition within UNIPMA, particularly in the PBSI Master's Program. By involving writers and critics, such activities create an inspiring learning space and motivate students to delve deeper into and produce literary works.
